Spathiphyllum 'Sweet Silvana'

The Spathiphyllum genus, commonly known as ‘peace lilies’, are natives of tropical regions of America and Southeastern Asia. The most distinct feature of this genus is their bright, white spadix. Deep green leaves gently sprawl out of the pot, while their white flowers shoot up and stand well above its foliage to completely show off. Flowers can last up to a couple months, usually emerging in spring.

Watering

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%. A high humidity lover, so mist often. If the plant begins to droop dramatically it indicates lack of moisture.

Light requirements

Bright, indirect. Shade tolerant.

Feed

Use a houseplant fertiliser once a month from April - October.

Repotting

Repot every 2-3 years when roots begin to protrude out of the drainage holes. Use a well draining house plant potting mix, with added draining medium like perlite.

Height / pot size
