Chamaedorea elegans

A feathery, bushy palm, the C. elegans can really give a room that ‘jungle’ feeling. Not requiring a huge amount of light, water or food, these palms are perfect for those looking for an easy-going plant.

Watering

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%.

Light requirements

Bright, indirect, shade tolerant.

Feed

Use a houseplant fertiliser 4-6 times from April - September.

Repotting

Young plants can be repotted every year for the first few years, then every 2-3 years to replenish the nutrients within the soil.
