Euphorbia fruticosa

This Euphorbia is doing its best to look like a cacti, with a swollen ridged stem covered in spikes. The stem can twist or produce branches resulting in a variety of interesting forms,and between the spikes characteristic buttercup-like flowers will bloom in the autumn.

Watering

Water when soil is dry 100%. Water lightly (if at all) during winter months.

Light requirements

Full sun.

Feed

Use a cactus fertiliser 3 times between March - November.

Repotting

It can stay in the same pot for a number of years as it is such a slow growing plant. If it does ever become too small for the pot it is in, repot into one size up and use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage such as perlite, pumice or grit.
