Alocasia cucullata

These dark green, arrow leafed Alocasias are singificantly easier to look after than some of their kin. Their thick woody trunks enable them to store water, making them fairly drought tolerant.

Watering

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 70%.

Light requirements

Bright and indirect.

Feed

Use a houseplant fertiliser every 2 - 4 weeks from April - October.

Repotting

Repot roughly every 1-1.5 years. Use a well draining house plant compost with added draining medium like perlite.
