Euphorbia stellata

Stellata meaning star-shaped, referring to its protrusions of spined ‘leaves’ sitting atop a broad caudex, Euphorbia stellata is both medusoid and caudex. Possibly one of the most fascinating members of the mind-bogglingly big Euphorbiaceae genus.

Watering

In S/S water when 90% of the soil has dried out. During the winter months allow the soil to dry out 100% watering very little every 1-2 months. Avoid watering directly onto the caudex.

Light requirements

Full sun.

Feed

Use a cactus fertiliser 2-3 times a year.

Repotting

Repotting once every 2-3 years to replenish soil. Use a cactus compost with a good mix of perlite.
